Supporting Local Community: Wings Mobility
Saturday, 28 October 2017 | Admin
Wings Mobility, based in the town centre of Crawley (No 4 The Pavement) has donated a brand new motorised mobility scooter worth almost £1200 to a 91-year-old local victim of burglary.
Terry Lowes was conned into allowing two men into his property after he assumed they were from Crawley Borough Council.
While inside the men distracted Terry and stole over £1000 in cash he had in a bedside drawer which he was saving up for his own mobility scooter.
Terry’s son Colin couldn’t help express his amazement at the kind gesture,
“It’s amazing, we can’t believe it!” he said as his father tried out a demonstrator version of the scooter.
Crawley MP Henry Smith said:
“Crawley folk have always been kind, caring and community minded. Ajmer’s generosity towards Terry is heartwarming.”
